Because the women are not attractive sounding. this isn't a good reason StarGate SG-1 was canceled because it cost to much, and StarGate Atlantis is cheaper but has less viewers that SG-1. Who is listening what people are saying in a SciFi movie, everybody is looking for something interesting.
